We are delighted to announce the opportunity for you to join our Members' Day on Saturday, 29 June 2024 on Zoom. We will be providing an opportunity to listen to 3 good speakers on 3 interesting and challenging subjects, plus time to discuss the issues these talks raise, ask questions and meet other members. All this from the comfort of your home!
We can confirm the following speakers:
Dr Joe Forde, UTU alumni, author and Chair of Sheffield's Church Action on Poverty group. His talk is titled 'Let's End Poverty!'
Rev Zaidie Orr, UTU Trustee and former nurse, combines her past and present profession as she talks about Mental Health - a taster for the UTU Mental Health Day being organised for the autumn.
Rev Dr Rob Hoch, Director of Theological Studies at UTU is going to talk about shaping the new 3 module course, Mission 3vangelical for a Post-Christian World.
You can join us for the whole day, 10am-3pm, or just dip into specific sessions. All you have to do is ensure your membership with us is up to date and email the office to register. We will then send out the programme and the zoom link nearer the time. If you are not a UTU member or your membership has lapsed, do not despair! You can pay £20 for 6 months membership to attend the Members' Day.
We are looking forward to meeting you on Saturday, 29 June. Don't forget to register with Jill in the office (office@utusheffield.org.uk) to receive the programme and Zoom link.

What does it mean for a church to foster justice in society?
Where or from whom does its challenge to work for equity and dignity come from?
Listen to Stef Benstead, author of Just Worship (forthcoming in July 2024) talk about what inspired this work and how the character of God challenges churches to conform themselves to God's shalom and justice.
